Overview

Germany Business Visa (Short-Stay Type C) is a Schengen visa for eligible travellers visiting Germany for business-related purposes, such as attending meetings, conferences, trade fairs, negotiations, or other professional activities. It generally allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period and may permit travel across the 29 Schengen countries, subject to the visa conditions and purpose of travel.

Germany Business Visa Requirement

Valid Passport – Original Passport issued within the last 10 years, with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the scheduled return date and at least 2 blank pages + old passport if any.

Recent Photograph – 35 × 45 mm – Plain white background, face covering approx. 70-80%. Do not wear a white shirt. Glasses should not be worn.

Application Form - to be filled and signed by applicant.

Declarations and Undertaking – Signed declaration

Covering Letter – explaining the purpose of visit, on company letterhead, duly signed and stamped, wherever applicable.

Invitation letter from the Germany Company/ Business operation.

National Identity Proof – Aadhaar Card & PAN Card copy.

Travel Documents - ticket itinerary and Day to day tour itinerary

Hotel booking/accommodation confirmation.

Travel Medical Insurance – Valid throughout all Schengen countries and covering the entire duration of the trip, with minimum medical coverage of EUR 30,000. Austria Missions accept travel medical insurance from approved Indian travel insurance companies only.

Financial Proof- Original Personal bank statements for the last 6 months with Bank stamp sign.

Income Tax Returns for the last 3 years.

Term/Fixed Deposits and property/asset documents, if applicable.

Business Registration Certificate, GST Registration Certificate. Partnership Deed, if applicable.

Company ITRs for the last 3 years. Company Original bank statements for the last 6 months with bank stamp sign.

Salary slips for the last 6 months & Company ID Card copy.

Medical Requirement

Travel Medical Insurance – Valid throughout all Schengen countries and covering the entire duration of the trip, with minimum medical coverage of EUR 30,000. Germany Family & Friends Visit Visa (Short-Stay Type C) is a Schengen visa for eligible travellers visiting Germany to meet family members or friends, spend time with them, or attend personal occasions. It generally allows stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period and may permit travel across the 29 Schengen countries, subject to the visa conditions and purpose of travel.

Family / Friend Visit Visa

Valid Passport – Original Passport issued within the last 10 years, with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the scheduled return date and at least 2 blank pages + old passport if any.

Recent Photograph – 35 × 45 mm – Plain white background, face covering approx. 70-80%. Do not wear a white shirt. Glasses should not be worn.

Invitation Letter- Original signed invitation letter from the family member/friend in Germany, including: their address and contact details and, intended period and duration of stay and,  evidence of legal residence of family/friends visited: copy of passport/national ID card (first and last page if it’s an Indian passport) + copy of his/her residence permit (Inviter in Germany) if applicable and,  name of traveler and, passport number of traveler and purpose of trip and itinerary of the visit in brief

evidence of legal residence of child to be visited: copy of passport/national ID card (first and last page if it’s an Indian passport) + copy of his/her residence permit

If the applicant intends to stay with a family member or a friend, proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation from the host, confirmation of the third person with signature, proof of address and copy of passport or German ID card

For Salaried Applicants- NOC from employer on company letterhead, duly signed and stamped, Salary slips for the last 6 months & Company ID Card copy.

For Retired Applicants-Retirement/Pension proof, Pension statements for the last 6 months.

For Students- Valid Student ID Card, NOC from School/College, Birth Certificate.

Sponsor’s Financial Documents –  if the trip is sponsored by another person or company, including sponsor letter, identification and financial documents, as applicable.

Overview

Germany Airport Transit Visa (Type A) is required for certain Indian nationals transiting through a German airport to a destination outside the Schengen Area. It allows transit only within the international airport transit area and does not permit entry into Germany or the Schengen Area.

If you need to leave the international transit area, change airports, or enter the Schengen Area, you may need a Schengen Visa (Type C).

Overview

Germany Seamen Visa (Short-Stay Type C) is intended for eligible seafarers travelling to Germany to join a vessel, change vessels, or leave a vessel as part of their professional duties. It may be required when the seafarer needs to enter Germany for crew-related purposes before or after joining a ship.
